Satol's SD5 De-Scaler Extra (also referred to as SATOL DS) is an efficient descaler product designed to remove calcium and magnesium scales from various surfaces, including hard surfaces, metals, and glass. Specifications: Form: Clear Liquid Appearance: Light Yellowish Odour: Odourless Specific Gravity: 1.60±0.05 g/cm³ Solubility: 100% water soluble pH: 1.5±0.5 in 1% solution 1.2±0.5 in Concentrate Form Usage Instructions: SATOL DS can be used directly or in combination with an acid solution in CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems. Suitable for places where scaling (Ca & Mg deposits) occurs rapidly due to low levels of acid and alkalis. An excess of 0.5 to 1.0% of SATOL DS is typically required for effective descaling, depending on contact time and temperature during the CIP. Provides immediate prevention of new solid scale deposits. Dissolves existing deposits in pipelines and heat exchanges. Effectively reduces aggressive corrosion attack. Formulation: Citric Acid: 5 – 7% SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate): 0.5 – 1% Nonionic Surfactant: 0.5 – 1% Nitric Acid: 20 – 30% Benefits: Protection: Guards against heat and pressure loss.
